Training

Remote Medical Services not only offers the relevant and comprehensive medical cover required to safe guard your event but we will assist in the training of stewards, marshals and any other staff that may assist in running your event.

We can offer the following services:

• HSE First aid at work (4 days)

  Three full days covering the first aid at work syllabus..

• Emergency aid (1 day)

  Emergency aid is a one day course that is tailored to your environment and will include CPR.

• Defibrillator AED training (1 day)

  Training on how to use an automated external defibrillator.

• Trackside ambulance assistant (half day)

  Motor sport events carry their own risks and having marshals trained to assist the medical crews on scene is invaluable. This course covers initial assessment of casualties, helmet removal, moving a patient onto a long board, calling the emergency services and equipment familiarisation. (This is a service which Remote Medical Services will offer for free for bookings which exceed ten events or large scale events of 6000 people or more).

• Basic trauma, emergency medical technician (3 days)

  This is a more in-depth course designed for people who need a greater understanding of trauma in the pre-hospital field. (First aid at work is a pre requirement for this course).

• Remote medics course (2 days)

  For people who enjoy the outdoors where first aid just doesn’t fill the gap till help arrives. Course content covers brakes/strains, movement of casualty to safe location, suspension trauma, massive bleeds, evacuation.
