Our front line ambulances carry all life saving and rescue equipment that exceed the standard expected of a front line ambulance.
Just some of the equipment carried on each vehicle is detailed below:

- Medical gasses (portable and fixed)
- Vital stats machine
- Burns shields
- Spinal board and blocks
- Stretcher
- Vacuum splints
- Box splints
- Lighting
- Protection for casualties from the weather
- VHF radio (to speak to air ambulance)
- High power personnel radios (constant communication to other RMS staff)
- GPS (mountain GPS to give exact location in case of airlift is needed
- Advice sheets
- Smoke and flares (for attention of air ambulance)
- Medical single use items (from plasters to medication)
All equipment is tested before an event and regular staff training ensures all equipment is used effectively and appropiately.
